The event was devoted to outlining the strategy for developing higher education in Poland and Uzbekistan. It was attended by 50 rectors and representatives of institutions in the field of education in both countries. The conference’s aim was to define the key areas of progress in social, political and cultural issues, cooperation in education and exchange of experience in science and innovation. The universities signed a number of letters of intent regarding student and academic staff exchange.
At the same time, strengthening cooperation between the universities of both countries contributes to developing new recommendations and strategic goals in the New Uzbekistan program. The Poznan University of Technology's capabilities and achievements were represented in Tashkent by Rector, prof. Teofil Jesionowski and Vice-rector for Research, prof. Wojciech Sumelka. The Rector of the Poznan University of Technology signed a letter of intent with the Rector of the National University of Architecture and Construction in Samarkand.
