RAZIYEH REZADOOST DEZFULI

Raziyeh Rezadoost Dezfuli [Faculty of Architecture, PUT, Poznań]

Raziyeh Rezadoost Dezfuli is a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Architecture, Poznań University of Technology, and a member of the Institute of Urban Planning. Her research focuses on sustainable retrofitting strategies for historic houses in the face of climate change. Her doctoral dissertation, Sustainable Retrofit of Historic Houses in Jeżyce, Poznań, Poland, in the Face of Climate Change, uses EnergyPlus to assess retrofit strategies across diverse historical building types.

Her work integrates advanced energy simulation tools with heritage preservation, aiming to enhance energy efficiency, climate resilience, and cultural value. She specializes in thermal insulation adaptation and renewable energy integration, focusing on solutions that balance performance with the protection of historic character.

Throughout her academic journey in architecture and urban planning, she has developed strong expertise in computational modeling, building performance optimization, and climate-responsive design. She has applied advanced tools such as DesignBuilder, EnergyPlus, and others for energy simulation, sensitivity analysis, and multi-objective optimization using genetic algorithms. Her projects range from improving natural ventilation performance in hot climates through CFD techniques to developing design guidelines aligned with green building standards and certification systems.

Alongside her doctoral work, Raziyeh actively participates in academic workshops and interdisciplinary projects, demonstrating strong skills in computational modeling, optimization techniques, sustainable design methodologies, and heritage building analysis. She has worked as a lecturer and teaching assistant in courses such as Urban Planning 1, History of Architecture 4, Heritage Design Studio, and Design Studio in Conservation in Architecture and Urban Planning.

Raziyeh is pleased to be part of the EDIT Poznań team, contributing to the group’s activities and supporting its ongoing projects.
